Lighthouse Grille Opens for 2025-2026 School Year | Online Reservations Only

Lorain High School's Lighthouse Grille will open to the public on Tuesday, October 13, for the 2025-2026 school year. This student-run restaurant, part of the school's Career and Technical Education Program, offers lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. exclusively by reservation. Featuring a menu filled with affordable meals, most priced under $10, the Lighthouse Grille gives students a unique opportunity to hone their culinary and hospitality skills in a real-world setting.
Under the guidance of Chef and Culinary Instructor Terra Dahlhausen, students at the Lighthouse Grille are learning the essential skills needed for a future in the restaurant industry. The program uses the Toast system, a widely used restaurant management technology for streamlined order-taking and payment processing.
The Culinary Arts program, which serves dozens of students each year, also offers ServSafe certification, ensuring that students are equipped with food safety knowledge crucial for careers in the culinary industry.
The Lighthouse Grille will be open for lunch service this semester from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and reservations are required. Guests can choose from three convenient reservation times: 11:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., or 12:30 p.m.
